Phono/Aux Input Adapter for BeoMaster 5

This product is a high quality adapter to allow you to connect a turntable or line-level audio input device directly to your Bang & Olufsen BeoMaster 5 and BeoSound 5 (it is not suitable for the new BeoSound 5 Encore). The adapter simply plugs into one of the two spare USB sockets on the BeoMaster 5 to give you input connections via stereo RCA sockets. Please ensure that your BeoMaster 5 has received the software update from B&O in July 2011 (this should have been downloaded automatically if the BeoMaster 5 is connected to the internet). On the main MODE menu, you will then see "A.Aux" as an option to allow this convertor to be selected.

This adapter is suitable the following models from the current Bang and Olufsen range: BeoMaster 5. The convertor has a switchable RIAA phono pre-amplifier and gold plated stereo RCA (also called Phono or Cinch) input sockets to allow any phono or line level audio source (eg. a Beogram turntable, record player, iPod, iPad, non-audio system, etc.) to be played into the BeoMaster 5 via suitable connecting cables (not included).

This adapter is an upgraded version of the type that is approved by Bang & Olufsen for sale by their stores Worldwide and so is 100% compatible with your BeoMaster 5. We also stock a wide range of cables (not included with the adapter) to help you to connect your audio products together. Please note: Bang & Olufsen do not recommend using this adapter to connect a video source (eg. non-B&O TV) to BeoMaster 5, as the processing inside BeoMaster 5 produces a very slight delay which may cause the audio to be slightly out of sync with the TV picture. Hence, this adapter is recommended for audio sources only.
