iPod/TV to Beolab/BeoSound 4/BeoCenter 2 Cable

This product is a high quality Pure-Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper, audiophile cable to allow you to connect an iPod, iPad, iPhone, MP3 player, laptop, TV or any other device with a headphone socket directly to your Beolab active loudspeakers (models without displays), which will even work if you don't have a Bang and Olufsen hifi system or television. One cable will allow two Beolab speakers to be connected to one iPod or MP3 player. This cable will fit almost all B&O Beolab active louspeakers (ie. those with RCA Line input sockets) - if you are in any doubt, please ask! This cable can also be used to add an iPod or MP3 player to a BeoSound 4 or BeoCenter 2, as these systems have RCA connections for the Aux Inputs instead of the usual B&O DIN sockets.

High quality, shielded plugs with metal cases are used on our cables in preference to the cheap plastic plugs that you will see on many other companies' cables. Our shielded plugs give better protection against induced electrical noise, which can degrade the sound quality produced. They are also far more rugged, to give you years of listening pleasure. This cable uses Directional, Pure Oxygen-Free Copper conductors for clear sound quality and gold-plated 3.5mm jack plugs and RCA plugs for a perfect connection every time. Just set the input switch on the back of your Beolab speakers to "Line" and plug the cable into the round RCA socket on the back of each speaker. Turn the iPod volume down when you switch it on, as Beolab speakers are VERY powerful!

This cable is suitable for almost all of the current range of Bang and Olufsen Beolab active loudspeakers and most past models, including:-

  • * Beolab 1
  • * Beolab 5
  • * Beolab 3000
  • * Beolab 4000 mk.1 (excluding Serial nos. 2xxxx onwards, up to late 2007 only)
  • * Beolab 4500
  • * Beolab 5000
  • * Beolab 6000
  • * Beolab 8000
  • * Beolab Penta (mark 2 and 3 models only)

NOT FOR USE WITH BEOLAB 3, 4, 9 or 11 - please see our other listings for these cables or contact us if you have any questions.

Please note that whilst it can be used with older Beolab speakers that have displays (such as mark 2 or mark 3 Beolab Penta with RCA sockets for Line input), the displays will not function. If you want to connect your iPod to a B&O audio system or TV (ie. not directly to the speakers), please see our other listings for iPod to B&O cables, as these may be more suitable.

    Cable specifications:-

  • * Double-Screened, Pure-Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper cable with Royal Blue sheath
  • * Signal conductors (x 2): 7 x 0.2mm PC-OFC copper
  • * Screening conductors (x2): 16 x 0.12mm PC-OFC copper
  • * 2 x 24 carat Gold-Plated metal-bodied RCA plugs (colour-coded)
  • * Digital 24 carat Gold-Plated metal-bodied 3.5mm stereo jack plug

Please note: Very few other companies' cables use metal cased, shielded plugs with 24 carat gold contacts. Even fewer use high-purity, stranded, Oxygen-Free Copper for optimum signal quality. If other companies' listings don't state these specifications, then their cables usually don't come anywhere near our quality! If you've invested in a good quality audio system, then you need good cables to get the best from it. All of our cables are selected by a Graduate Electronics Engineer with over 20 years experience of B&O equipment.
