Pre-Amp Kit for Bang & Olufsen Beogram Turntables
This product is a high quality, audiophile phono pre-amplifier with convertor cables to allow you to connect a B&O Beogram Turntable without a built-in pre-amp (or other brand of turntable with fitted DIN or RCA cable) into your Bang and Olufsen hifi system using the "Aux In" socket, where the Turntable has either the standard B&O 5pin or 7pin DIN plug or twin RCA plugs on a fitted cable. This kit uses premium quality, gold-plated RCA plugs and professional Neutrik/Rean DIN plugs with gold plated pins and will fit almost all B&O audio systems manufactured since the 1960's, as well as all Beogram turntables and record players up to 1990. It will also fit almost all non-B&O turntables with a captive stereo RCA or DIN cable fitted. Also, if you have a BeoSound 4 or BeoCenter 2, this kit includes an RCA output cable as well as the usual DIN output cable at no extra cost - if you are in any doubt about suitability, please ask!
The kit includes a high quality RIAA pre-amplifier (manufactured by HQ), with UK 220-240 volt AC mains power supply and two convertor cables for RCA and DIN inputs/outputs. For sales to Europe and Australia, an appropriate mains adapter plug will also be supplied with the kit to allow you to plug it into the 220-240 volt AC electrical supply in the country of purchase. As with all B&O audio systems, this kit is designed to be left permanently connected to the electrical supply. Please note that this kit does not allow the turntable to accept remote control signals from the audio system. If you have a later Beogram turntable that can accept Datalink remote control signals, we can also offer custom wiring looms at extra cost to pass Datalink signals from the B&O system to the turntable - please ask for details if this is of interest! As the kit is designed for use with the 220-240 volt AC UK, European and Australian electrical supplies, you should contact us for advice if you intend to purchase this kit to use outside the UK, EU or Australia. This kit is designed to work from voltages between 220 and 240 volts AC only and this is NOT suitable for 110 volt supplies or DC (direct current) supplies. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS KIT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN USA, JAPAN, MEXICO OR CANADA.
BEOGRAM 8000/8002 - IMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to connect a Beogram 8000 or 8002 to a modern B&O audio system, you will also require an additional DIN to RCA input cable that is not included with this kit. This is because these Beogram models do not have the fitted output lead that was provided on all other Beogram turntables. Please email us for advice prior to making your purchase if you intend to use this kit with a Beogram 8000 or 8002.
